FLY Programme is a co-curricular financial education programme currently running in primary and secondary schools.
The FLY Programme is designed with a simulation game to enable children, and young people acquire attributes, abilities and behaviour that supports the development (foundation) for adult financial capability. The goals of the programme are to enable children, and young people acquire a robust and holistic foundation of financial capability before they leave the school circle. The FLY Programme enables learners to acquire knowledge, skill and develop positive financial behaviour as follows:
Understand career choices, sources of income, and income deductions;
Explain the concept of financial independence;
Form and participate in FLY Club activities.
Solve/calculate simple and compounded interest sums;
Understand various financial concepts;
Design (and use) saving plan for short-term goals; and
Give examples of financial services providers;
